Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) since 1989, acts as backward linkage industries of RMG & other export oriented industries like Pharmaceuticals, Leather, Ceramic, Food & Beverage, Vegetables, Frozen Food, Handicraft etc. This association also addresses the problems faced by the stakeholders. Keeps members abreast of contemporary global business trends. BGAPMEA organises training for the member factories for skill development e.g. Residential Training Program on Packaging Technology in cooperation with the Asian Packaging Federation (APF).
BGAPMEA is the member of Asian Packaging Federation (APF) & World Packaging Organization (WPO).The main goal of BGAPMEA is to increase deemed export of Accessories & Packaging products by assisting member industries as regard to policy problems as well as to promote direct export of the products of these sectors. Another goal is to increase the productivity of member industries as well as to produce quality products by establishing a Testing & Training Institute where products should be tested for quality & workforces should be trained for skill development. It is our cherished dream to set up a Garments Accessories & Packaging Institute for the development of this sector in Bangladesh. This Association has also decided to set up a National Institute of Packaging & Accessories (NIPA) in Bangladesh. A Testing Laboratory is set up at Kunipara, Tejgaon, Dhaka only for the different type of paper packaging product's tests.
